Paintball: Essentials To Know
If you enjoy recreational games played either in a formal style or in a relaxing manner, paintball is for you. If you are a beginner to the game of paintball, you should make sure you know all of the rules before even taking one step onto the paintball field. By knowing the rules, the game can keep going and you will also have much more success at shooting opponents and having them eliminated. Eliminating your opponents is the object of the game.
The rules of the paintball game are built around the concepts of paintball in general. Each game has two different teams which are organized before the game begins. Each team is divided up so there are equal amounts of people per team, usually about 5-8 players per side. This is always the case if you are playing a formal tournament. Each team are positioned on the opposite sides of the fields against each other. The field space typically has bunkers, mounds and sometimes some buildings to provide some protection and give the game a maze like feel.
The objective of the game is to eliminate opponents and capture their flag before they can do the same to you. Which ever team ends up capturing the flag first is the team that wins the game. Many times, there are rule regulations in place. These regulations stipulate which ever team has the most team players left on the field is the winner. This is incorporated with eliminating other players as well. Simply shoot opposing team members with paintballs and as soon as they have paintball paint on them, they are eliminated.
The above mentioned scenario is one of the more important aspects of the game. It’s also important to remember not to shoot players and leave them hurt. If you have an opposing player within 5 feet from you, you should ask the player to surrender before shooting them. If they surrender, they are to hold up a marker to show everyone they are out of the game.
If a player is hit with a paintball, this will cost the team one point. It will cost your team 5 points if you end up hanging the flag, so be careful. So if your team is playing according to the paintball point system, there is always a chance your team can recuperate and win the game.
All in all, the rules of the game are not hard at all to understand or incorporate into the game. Paintball is considered to be more of a recreational type of sport and the entire game is mostly based on the paintballs in general.
Each paintball game can end up being hours and hours of fun. There are few rules to follow and the game is so much fun because it is played outdoors. If you know all of the paintball game rules, you can be self assured that your game will not be confusing and you will also be able to focus on winning the game instead. Remember to learn the rules before hitting the field.
